HIGH PRESSURE SODIUM LAMPS

Closely related to the metal halogen, but with other light properties. The high pressure sodium lamp has a colour temperature that lies close to the light from an incandescent lamp and reproduces warm colours very well. The light source requires a special ballast. The high pressure sodium lamp is often used in the delicatessen, bread and fruit departments in food stores. High pressure sodium lamps are quite often called White Son.
